- If you hold an EU passport visiting the Hungarian Parliament is free of charge. Guided tours are available throughout the day in English and other languages as well.
- Matthias Church is closed during services, opening hours are as folllows:
Monday-Friday: 09-17 Saturday: 09-13 Sunday: 13-17
Other Useful Tips
- In Liszt Ferenc square you will find many good bars and restaurants that offer international and traditional dishes as well.
- If you wanna have a real Hungarian lunch eat at Főzelékfaló on the corner of Andrássy and Nagymező street, close to the Opera house. Főzelék is a very traditional vegetable stew (almost like a very thick soup). Hungarians make them from all kind of vegetables, etc: potato, lentil, French beans or spinach.
